Our Family...

Hello to all our loved ones and dear friends from afar! As our adventures keep us long distances from those we love, our hope is that this journal of memories will keep us close at heart! Let the journey begin

This holiday season has been a very special time for us! This Christmas was our first "stay-at-home" Christmas since living in Indiana (guess it takes me being 38 weeks pregnant to keep us from traveling-haha) It caused us to slow down and really enjoy our family that came to visit... first my Dad & John and then my Mom & John R. I also spent a good deal of time reflecting on how, as we literally wait on a little baby to arrive, about the true miracle Christmas- waiting on the birth of our Savior.

I crossed my fingers for a Golden Birthday present on the 26th, but Lil' Luke wasn't ready to make his debut! So, Rob & I spent a few more days relaxing (more like he forced me to elevate my cankles-lol), making final preparations and trying to become Babywise ;)

Now as the year comes to a close I look back on 2009... What a year! We have faced many challenges and experienced so much joy! 2009 has definitely been a year of growth for both Rob & I. I can only imagine how much more this journey has for us in the next year as we embark upon the experience of parenthood! 7 years ago today I met the love of my life and here we are, waiting on the birth of our new family member! Life is Good & God is Great. We have much to be thankful for and feel so blessed.

I wish you all a Happy New Year as you ring in 2010! As soon as our special delivery arrives and we know our names again... we'll post some pics!

Little Luke (still in the oven)

Baby Jackson- 13 Weeks - It's so amazing to see creation in progress! During our first ultrasound, the tech hit a button and all the sudden we were looking at the 4-D image of our baby!

Baby Jackson- 20 Weeks - He was a little camera shy at first, but we soon discovered that Baby Jackson is Lucas Robert Jackson!

Rob says he can already tell he has his cheeks :)

Preggo Pregress

Until our little miracle arrives to provide you with sweet ooo & ahh inspiring photos... charting the stretching of my belly will have to do :) So here's a recap of the last 9 months!

7 Weeks- We surprised all our family members by telling them in person when they came for my graduation from Purdue!

13 Weeks- Waiting for our first ultrasound. This is when it really hit me... I got to see this little miracle inside me- God's handiwork in progress- just so amazing! When we left the doctor's office Rob was so excited we ended up on the other side of the city. I asked him where we were going & he said, "I have no idea, I can't concentrate on driving" Haha- Let's just hope he can concentrate when it's time to go to the hospital ;)

14 Weeks- No bump yet...

20 Weeks- And we have a definite bump happening! This is the week we found out we are having a little boy! I really didn't have a feeling either way, but the vast majority of opinions thought BOY including Rob!

24 Weeks- Lots of visible belly movement from the little one

27 Weeks

30 Weeks

30 weeks- Rob assisted me with the artwork. I think our neighbor kids think I'm crazy now after handing out candy while sporting my jack-o-belly

34 Weeks- This little man has the hiccups at least twice a day and apparently has a kickboxing class at 11 pm :)

35 Weeks- This is post-Thanksgiving Feasting & Baby Showering for a weekend... we had our fair share of pie & cake!!!

36 Weeks- dropping a bit? I feel like my cereal table is a little lower- haha!

37 Weeks- And yes, I was very careful up on the ladder ;)

38 Weeks- Taken while Dad & Brother John were in Indiana for a Christmas visit!

39 Weeks- Christmas Eve
