After Luke got his his bath and Ma got her first post delivery meal (a runny soggy omlette that I ate every last bite of) we moved to our new room with a MUCH less intimidating bed... no more crazy leg braces or removable parts. Luke and I spent some quiet time getting to know one another some more while Grandma Dian and Daddy got a little rest back at home. They came back in the afternoon for Luke's big debut....
Shortly after Grandma Karen arrived from Florida... to the blistery cold 0 degree corn country... but was instantly warmed when she saw this little guy
Not long after the WLFI-18 News crew came along with reporters from the Lafayette Journal & Courier to do a special story on the New Years Baby for Lafayette IN... and all of Tippecanoe County!
I got Lucas dressed in his special boilermaker outfit and he slept through his first interview :)
We spent the next two days in the hospital oohing & aahing over our new precious son & Grandson! By Sunday we were ready to get home and see what this family life was all about!
